Starcore International Mines CEO Robert Eadie joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss encouraging initial results from the company’s 2026 geophysical exploration programme at the San Martin Mine in Querétaro, Mexico. The programme has identified four areas of interest — Anomalies I, II, III and IV — that Starcore believes warrant additional geological investigation and, in some cases, drilling. The exploration campaign combined an airborne MobileMT electromagnetic survey and magnetic survey conducted by Expert Geophysics with a ground-based Induced Polarization and resistivity survey completed by GEOTEM. The company also incorporated the reprocessing and interpretation of historical magnetometer and IP data completed in 2024. Eadie said the integrated approach is helping Starcore develop a better understanding of the geological and structural controls surrounding the known San Martin mineralized system while identifying potential extensions and new exploration targets. Anomaly I is located close to existing mine infrastructure and near the projected extension of known low-angle mineralized bodies. Current interpretation suggests the anomaly could extend between 300 and 500 metres and has an east-west orientation. The zone appears to have been affected by post-mineral faulting, with underground mapping in the northern portion of the mine supporting the interpretation. Starcore plans to test Anomaly I through drilling to determine whether the geophysical response is associated with an extension of known mineralization. Anomaly II represents another significant target, extending approximately two kilometres and appearing in more than one geophysical dataset. The consistency between the datasets provides additional support for the interpreted anomaly, although the company says its complex structural setting requires further geological and three-dimensional interpretation before drill targets are finalized. The company plans to refine and evaluate Anomalies I and IV through drilling beginning in mid-October 2026, while Anomalies II and III will undergo further geological and geophysical analysis. Eadie said the programme is designed to improve drill targeting both around the existing San Martin mine and in surrounding areas where volcanic cover has limited previous exploration, potentially opening up new areas for future mineral discovery. #proactiveinvestors #StarcoreInternationalMines #tsx #sam #Starcore #SanMartinMine #Mexico #Querétaro #Gold #Silver #Mining #MineralExploration #Geophysics #ElectromagneticSurvey #IPSurvey #Magnetics #GoldMining #SilverMining #Exploration #MiningStocks #PreciousMetals #Drilling
