Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) non-executive director Ed Mead joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss new high-grade gold results the company has received from aircore drilling at the Northern Zone Gold Project in Western Australia. Drilling has confirmed a 600-metre-wide porphyry system hosting shallow oxide gold mineralisation. A highlight was 8 metres at 4.86 g/t gold from 34 metres, which included 4 metres at 5.09 g/t, 1 metre at 18.22 g/t and 1 metre at 17.96 g/t. Additional results include 6 metres at 3.13 g/t from 30 metres and 5 metres at 3.74 g/t from 31 metres. The company aims to complete a mineralisation report by month-end, followed by a Mining Lease application. A fourth aircore campaign completed in November drilled 1,545 metres across 26 holes, adding to a total of nearly 9,000 metres drilled in 2024. These findings will update the project’s Leapfrog model, guiding future exploration efforts. Chairman David Lenigas has highlighted the project's potential for open-pit mining, drawing comparisons to Black Cat Syndicate's nearby Myhree open pit operations. Riversgold is exploring ore processing strategies, inspired by Black Cat’s turnkey development and processing approach for its Myhree/Boundary pits. #ProactiveInvestors #Riversgold #ASX #GoldMining #NorthernZone #WesternAustralia #HighGradeGold #MiningExploration #ASX #GoldDrilling #Mineralisation #PorphyrySystem #OpenPitMining #BlackCatSyndicate #AircoreDrilling #GoldProspecting #MiningNews #AustralianGold #Geology #MiningLease #DrillingResults #GoldIndustry
