The Flat Mine East discovery, which is not visible from the surface, is crucial to Orion's early production plan for the OCP. As the drilling program nears completion, geological interpretations and mineralisation envelopes will be updated, leading to an updated mineral resource estimate. Metallurgical test work will focus on comminution, flotation optimisation, and tailings characterisation to enhance ore extraction and processing efficiency. Further results from Flat Mine South and Flat Mine North are pending, with the company expecting additional high-grade discoveries to strengthen the overall resource estimate for the Okiep Copper Project.
