Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE: GSCU) CEO Sam Garrett talked with Proactive’s Tylah Tully about the company’s latest drilling results at Mostaza prospect, within the Cerro Negro project in northern Chile. Garrett highlighted that phase one diamond drilling had successfully met three out of four objectives, confirming mineralisation width, depth extension and strike continuity up to 270 metres south. The fourth objective, related to grade content, is pending assay results. He also discussed the mineralisation characteristics, noting the presence of high-grade copper in different forms, including chalcocite, bornite and chalcopyrite. The presence of bornite is particularly significant as it is often associated with gold, adding further exploration potential. Looking ahead, Great Southern Copper plans to analyse geophysical methods to enhance exploration and assess the potential for a large-scale copper-gold system. While awaiting assay results, the company is considering additional drilling to build on these promising findings. #GreatSouthernCopper #Mining #CopperExploration #ChileMining #DrillingResults #CerroNegro #MostazaProspect #GoldMining #JuniorMining #NaturalResources
