Kirkland Lake Discoveries expands Mirado West gold zone beyond 1.1 kilometres

Episode Summary

Kirkland Lake Discoveries CEO Stefan Sklepowicz joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce new diamond drilling results from four step-out holes at the Mirado West Zone, part of the company's KL South property in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Sklepowicz told Proactive that the latest results have expanded the mineralized footprint of Mirado West to more than 1,100 metres of strike length, highlighting a system that hosts both high-grade gold veins and broad zones of bulk-tonnage mineralization. The drilling has intersected gold from less than 10 metres below surface to depths approaching 480 metres downhole, with the mineralized corridor remaining open in multiple directions. One of the standout results came from step-out hole KLM26-048, which intersected 10.53 grams per tonne gold over 9.20 metres, including a particularly high-grade interval of 31.93 g/t gold over 3.00 metres. The same hole also encountered a broad zone of bulk-tonnage mineralization at depth, returning 0.64 g/t gold over 68.00 metres, including a higher-grade section of 1.25 g/t gold over 26.50 metres. The company said the results demonstrate the potential for high-grade gold shoots to occur alongside wider, continuous zones of mineralization, providing opportunities to build both grade and potential resource volume. Additional step-out holes also returned repeated wide gold intervals, including zones measuring approximately 16 to 26 metres, supporting the company's interpretation that mineralization extends across a substantial corridor. Sklepowicz said the combination of high-grade intervals and broader mineralized zones is particularly encouraging, pointing to a system with the potential to host multiple styles of gold mineralization. Mirado West is located immediately adjacent to the Mirado South and Mirado North zones along the same structural trend. The expansion of Mirado West to more than 1.1 kilometres of strike length alongside Mirado South strengthens the company's view that these neighbouring zones could form part of a much larger, district-scale gold system. The company believes the broader corridor could contain multiple high-grade shoots surrounded by extensive mineralized envelopes, with the latest drilling providing further evidence of its potential scale. #proactiveinvestors #kirklandlakediscoveries #tsxv #kldc #otcqb #klklf #mining #Gold #GoldExploration #MiradoWest #KLSouth #KirklandLake #OntarioMining #HighGradeGold #GoldDrilling #MineralExploration #CanadianMining #JuniorMining
