Horizon Gold Ltd (ASX: HRN) managing director Scott Williamson talked with Proactive about the company's latest drilling results at its 100%-owned Gum Creek Gold Project in Western Australia, highlighting high-grade gold mineralisation at Snook and further resource growth opportunities across its extensive greenstone belt. Williamson discussed the standout drilling results at Snook, where a significant gold intersection has reinforced the potential to expand the existing open-pit mining opportunity and investigate underground development. The results represent some of the deepest drilling undertaken at Snook, with mineralisation remaining open at depth. Williamson explained that the grades encountered could support future underground mining opportunities alongside the planned open-pit development. The interview also covered exploration progress at Cobia and Alma May, where infill drilling is expected to support maiden mineral resource estimates over the coming months. These deposits could provide additional open-pit, free-milling gold resources and potentially extend Gum Creek's mine life beyond the initial 10 years outlined in the July 2026 Definitive Feasibility Study. With an existing resource base of approximately 2.3 million ounces, Horizon Gold is progressing an 80,000-metre exploration program and planning around $20 million in exploration investment. Williamson also highlighted upcoming results from Swan-Swift and Kingfisher, further exploration at Howards, and the company's broader development pathway towards a final investment decision expected in the second quarter of 2027.
