Noble Helium Ltd (ASX:NHE, OTC:NBHEF, FRA:GN1) executive chairman Dennis Donald spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about preparations for the upcoming Kinambo-1 drilling campaign, the expected drilling timeline and the company's acquisition of Earth Source Hydrogen. Donald said the rig and associated equipment are being mobilised to the Kenyan-Tanzanian border, where they'll undergo customs clearance before transport to Kinambo for setup and commissioning ahead of drilling. With roads prepared and the camp already built, Donald said: "I'm extremely confident that it will start as planned." He explained that SLB's logging and sampling equipment is critical to the programme. Currently in use by another company in Tanzania, it's expected to become available before mid-October, with Noble Helium planning to coordinate its arrival with the drilling equipment to keep the programme running efficiently. Donald also discussed additional technical work indicating gas in both the shallow and deep lake beds, which, alongside further checks and independent assessment, has allowed Noble Helium to firm up well locations and the drilling sequence. Once drilling begins, the operational team is expected to provide the board with daily updates, with the company considering how best to keep shareholders and the wider market informed. On the acquisition of Earth Source Hydrogen and its Perth Basin acreage, Donald said the deal gives Noble Helium a "wider strategic footprint," with the company planning to share further detail on the rationale with shareholders.
