Lumos Diagnostics CEO Doug Ward joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the continued commercial expansion of the company's FebriDx rapid diagnostic test across the United States, highlighting growing adoption among major urgent care operators and health-system-owned networks. Ward said Lumos has increased the number of live FebriDx deployment sites to 215 urgent care locations across 26 states, up from 170 previously, as the company continues to gain traction with large healthcare providers. The rollout reflects growing recognition of the test's ability to support clinical decision-making for patients presenting with acute respiratory illnesses. At the same time, the number of sites actively evaluating FebriDx has expanded to 405 locations from 350, further strengthening the company's commercial pipeline. Lumos noted that two additional top-100 U.S. urgent care groups have advanced beyond evaluation and entered network rollout phases across more than 40 combined sites. The company is also working with two other top-100 urgent care operators that are currently conducting clinical and economic validation studies across more than 45 locations. These evaluations are designed to assess FebriDx's clinical effectiveness, reimbursement performance, workflow integration and overall health-economic benefits before broader deployment decisions are made. Ward explained that Lumos is strategically focused on the top 100 urgent care organizations in the United States, which the company estimates represent approximately 40% of all urgent care sites nationwide. To support this effort, Lumos employs a structured four-stage commercialization strategy that progresses from qualified opportunities through clinical and economic evaluation, network rollout and ultimately standardized adoption across provider networks. The company's current live network of 215 sites is estimated to serve between 900,000 and 1.2 million acute respiratory illness patient visits annually, creating a substantial opportunity for test utilization. Importantly, reimbursement coverage for FebriDx remains strong, with payment support exceeding 90% at approximately US$41.38 per test. One notable success story has been the expansion within WellStreet, which initially evaluated the test before increasing deployment to 44 locations. The successful rollout has created a pathway toward broader implementation across WellStreet's network of more than 165 urgent care centers. Meanwhile, the 405 sites currently undergoing active evaluation represent an estimated 1.6 million to 2.2 million annual acute respiratory illness visits, providing Lumos with a significant opportunity to further expand market penetration as additional healthcare organizations complete their validation programs. #proactiveinvestors #lumosdiagnosticsholdings #asx #ldx #otc #ldxhf #FebriDx #HealthcareInnovation #Diagnostics #RapidTesting #UrgentCare #HealthcareTechnology #MedTech #DigitalHealth #HealthcareStocks #BiotechNews #MedicalDevices #HealthSystems #PatientCare
