Purepoint Uranium Group (PTU) CEO Chris Frostad tells Proactive that the first drill hole at the Q24 zone on its Dorado project returned 7.4 meters of radioactivity at 8,760 counts per second, with peaks reaching 50,000 counts per second. Frostad describes the result as highly significant given it came from the very first hole drilled in that zone. The Q24 zone is separate from both the Nova and Q23 targets within the broader Dorado project, which Purepoint holds in partnership with ISO Energy across approximately 100,000 hectares in the Athabasca Basin. Frostad highlights that the radioactivity was found at the unconformity, a classic uranium-bearing setting, and that chalcopyrite was identified beneath it — an indicator of the hydrothermal activity that would have mobilized uranium through the area. Assays from the summer drill program are still pending. Frostad says the company is also processing 3D mobile MT geophysical surveys conducted across the entire project over the summer, and will spend the next one to two months interpreting that data alongside drill results.
