Rome Resources Plc (AIM:RMR) CEO Paul Barrett talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the latest progress at the Bisie North project, where the company sees further resource growth potential across the Kalayi and Mont Agoma deposits. Barrett discussed the 45% increase in contained tin at Kalayi, achieved without grade dilution, and explained why the latest results reinforce the company's view of the deposit's potential. He said ongoing drilling had delivered "more and more of the same", while noting that the grade had increased by 10%. Rome Resources now sees opportunities to expand Kalayi further, including through its southeast, northern and deeper extensions. Barrett said the company was talking to various parties about the possibility of funding additional drilling, with the objective of increasing the inferred resource and establishing how large the deposit could ultimately become. The interview also covered Mont Agoma and its importance to the wider Bisie North story. Barrett highlighted the existing inferred copper resource, as well as additional copper and tin targets. He said the different commodity mix could ultimately result in separate commercial transactions for Kalayi and Mont Agoma, with the company already talking to parties active in copper production in the DRC. Looking ahead, Barrett said drilling remains the priority as Rome Resources Plc targets further resource growth and considers the route towards development.
