Tertiary Minerals MD: Strong news flow of assays heading into maiden resource estimate

Episode Summary

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) managing director Richard Belcher spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the latest drilling at Mushima North and upcoming assay results, metallurgical work and the planned maiden mineral resource estimate. Belcher said portable XRF results have supported the company's understanding of mineralisation extent and grade ranges in the Discovery Zone, with attention now turning to lab assays, particularly silver results, expected shortly. The interview also covered higher-grade copper and silver zones within the broader mineralised area. Belcher highlighted near-surface higher-grade material at Target A1, starting just metres below surface within the oxide zone, with Tertiary examining potential for open-pit-style mineralisation and a higher-grade core that could shape future pit dynamics. He also discussed the Western Zone, around 900 metres from the Discovery Zone, and its potential to expand known mineralisation, with assays from that area still awaited. Metallurgical test work is another key upcoming step, aimed at improving understanding of copper and silver extraction potential. "We've got a good news flow now of assay results from the lab essentially from the next week or so over the next month or so," Belcher said. Those results, alongside metallurgical work, are expected to feed into the maiden mineral resource estimate, which Tertiary Minerals hopes to publish by year-end.
