Rome Resources CEO: New Kalayi zones point to deeper, stronger tin mineralisation

Episode Summary

Rome Resources Plc (AIM:RMR) CEO Paul Barrett spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnionabout the latest exploration at the Kalayi project, including two newly identified zones, MINZ8 and MINZ9, and the potential for further high-grade mineralisation at depth. Barrett said the new zones remain open at depth, with drilling also pointing to further potential to the north. He discussed the significant intercept from hole 33, with an estimated true thickness of around 10 metres, and explained why more drilling is needed to test the extent of mineralisation. MSA's latest block modelling has identified an undrilled continuation of the high-grade trend to the southeast - an extension of the northern high-grade shoot, dipping towards the southeast in the direction of the Bisie mine and the granite. On the updated mineral resource estimate now being finalised, Barrett said Rome hopes to see increases in both volumes and grades as further drilling sharpens understanding of Kalayi. "What seems to be happening is that we drill more, we get much better, stronger results as time goes on," he said, adding this points towards drilling deeper for large tin intercepts. Barrett also touched on upcoming work at Mont Agoma, trenching at New Brunswick, and airborne geophysics at Bisie North, aimed at identifying further exploration targets.
