Nine Mile Metals CEO: Strong VMS hit points to Wedge Mine upside

Episode Summary

Nine Mile Metals Ltd. (CSE:NINE, OTCQB:VMSXF, FRA:KQ9) CEO Patrick Cruickshank speaks to Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's first drill result from its 2026 program at the Wedge Mine deposit in Canada. The headline intercept is 24.55 true-width metres, which Cruickshank described as a very strong polymetallic VMS result, with copper, silver and gold grades strengthening at depth. Cruickshank explained that the Wedge Mine was originally in production in the late 1960s until a head pillar collapse ended operations, meaning only the top third of the deposit was ever mined. The current drill program is targeting beneath those old workings, with this hole drilled approximately 200 metres below the top of the deposit. The company is using fan drilling from multiple pads to systematically test the deposit, which dips at roughly 68 to 70 degrees from northeast to southwest. Holes are spaced 50 to 75 metres apart at depth despite being close together at surface. The team is now on hole 17, with additional samples submitted to the lab and results pending. All results are being fed into 3D modelling in preparation for an updated 43-101 mineral resource estimate. Cruickshank highlights the western side of the deposit, beyond a geological fault and away from potential voids in the old workings, as the next significant test. Total metres drilled are approaching 5,000.
