U.S. Gold Corp CEO George Bee joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce that the company will implement Glencore Technology’s Jameson Cell flotation equipment at its flagship CK Gold Project in Wyoming. The adoption follows a series of engineering, optimization, and trade-off studies conducted as part of the project’s Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) and Execution Plan. Bee explained that the company undertook rigorous trade-off studies and metallurgical testing to evaluate the potential benefits of the Jameson Cell technology over conventional tank flotation cells. The results confirmed meaningful advantages, including improved metal recoveries, reduced energy consumption, and a smaller equipment and warehousing footprint. These improvements strengthen the already robust economics of the CK Gold Project and further support U.S. Gold Corp’s strategy to establish a domestic source of critical strategic metals. The Jameson Cell technology, first introduced in 1986 and widely adopted across the mining industry, was presented to U.S. Gold Corp by Glencore Technology in late 2024. To validate the claims, U.S. Gold conducted additional metallurgical tests on CK Gold Project ore, which confirmed higher gold and copper recoveries than those reported in the company’s February 2025 Pre-Feasibility Study. A trade-off study prepared by Halyard Micon International estimated that integrating Jameson Cells into the project could increase the project’s Net Present Value (5%) by approximately $36 million over the life of mine, compared with the use of conventional flotation technology. The study also highlighted the potential for lower operating costs, reduced power requirements, and smaller surface infrastructure needs. Bee emphasized that the adoption of Jameson Cell technology represents a strategic step forward, combining proven metallurgical performance with meaningful cost and efficiency benefits.
