Dalaroo Metals Ltd CEO John Morgan talked with Proactive about the start of the company’s maiden reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Bondoukou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire. Morgan said the program marked an exciting stage for Dalaroo Metals, with the first drill bit now in the ground as the company begins a planned 12,000-metre RC campaign. The initial work will focus on an orientation program designed to improve the company’s understanding of the mineralisation before further drilling is carried out. The campaign is targeting the Wilfred, Ali and Mag areas. Morgan said Wilfred would be tested first, where the company has interpreted a fold hinge and believes there is strong potential for gold mineralisation. Drilling will then move to Ali and Mag, extending the area being tested along the strike of the system. Mag is also considered an important target following the company’s highest-grade soil samples in that area. The initial drilling is intended to provide greater definition around the broad soil anomalies and establish the orientation of the mineralisation. The results will then help guide the subsequent holes in the campaign and improve targeting for future drilling. Morgan said assay results are expected to begin arriving within approximately four to six weeks, subject to laboratory capacity in Côte d’Ivoire.
