Alex Skelton, Manager, Listed Company Services, ASX, talked with Proactive about what investors can expect from the ASX Small and Mid-Cap Conference on September 23, including the opportunity to hear directly from 27 companies across a broad range of sectors. Skelton said the event follows a strong conference held in March and is designed to connect executives from small-cap companies directly with the investment community. Each participating company is given 15 minutes, comprising a 10-minute presentation followed by five minutes of questions and answers. Skelton explained that the format allows executives to discuss the company story, strategy and direction while also receiving live questions from existing and prospective investors. From the investor perspective, the conference provides an opportunity to hear directly from management teams and gain a clearer understanding of the businesses presenting. The 27-company line-up includes recently listed businesses as well as companies operating across industries including materials, consumer, healthcare and financials. The conference will be held at the State Library of New South Wales in Sydney, with investors also able to participate online. Presentations will be livestreamed and recorded, while online viewers will be able to submit questions to company executives during the event.
