NewPeak Metals extends Las Opeñas gold system

Episode Summary

NewPeak Metals Ltd managing director Mark Purcell talked with Proactive about the latest drilling results from the company’s 100%-owned Las Opeñas Project in Argentina, where a second hole has returned more than 650 metres of continuous mineralisation from surface. Purcell said the latest drilling had strengthened the company’s view that Las Opeñas hosts a potentially large-scale mineralised system. “It means we have hit what is effectively a very large-scale system,” he said. He also highlighted the potential to extend mineralisation, noting that the gold grade appears to increase towards the west and remains open in that direction. NewPeak plans to incorporate the latest assay data into its geological model before determining the scale and design of its next drilling program. The company is already permitted to drill a further 7,500 metres and is also assessing additional exploration opportunities across the broader project area, including the 3.5-kilometre vein system and the Zorro prospect.
